There are 4 months left in 2022. And I’ve read 50 books so far(according to Goodreads!). I have some favorites and some not-so-favorites. So here are my top 8 favorite books, for each month, passed in 2022.
I won’t be including a synopsis, because I personally skip over those in book blog posts. I’ll just be including a few sentences on what I thought of the book and a final rating. Let me know in the comments if you’ve read these books and your opinions on them!

Jan: The Love Hypothesis
So I normally, don’t reread books, however, this one was an exception. (It also might’ve contributed to Stanford is my dream college, but shh). I loved their chemistry(pun very much intended) and the banter. It was also pretty realistic in which the students work, compared to high school/college romances where work is never mentioned. I might be in love with Adam Carlsen, but let’s not worry too much about that.
Feb: Spanish Love Deception
Ironic how I read in Feb huh? But this is one of the few books I bought the physical version of, and I was extremely heartbroken and enraged that the pages fell out. I would just be reading, and the pages would just come out. Which is not exactly comfortable to read, when pages are falling on your face.
Other than that, this book was so good. I’m also in love with both Aaron and Catalina. Their characters were well-written, and I was content at the end of the book. Aarons’s character had me swooning, blushing, and highlighting.
Mar: Reminders of Him
For the short version, my friend lent me her copy, and there were mascara stains on a few pages. I would’ve added some of mine if I wasn’t frantically reading this at 3 am without any makeup(because I do not want more acne).
This was a great book, and it certainly evoked a lot of emotion. I’ve read around 5 Colleen Hoover books, and this was one of the best out of all the books I’ve read.
This is such a booktok book.

Apr: The Lightning Thief
Where would I be without Percy Jackson? Absolutely, nowhere. I am a big, big, big fan of PJO. So of course I had to re-read it this year. I’m currently rereading Heroes of Olympus, and the series never gets old.
I’m so excited about the TV show, can’t believe it’s another two years. What’s your favorite childhood book series?
May: The Steel Princess
Okay…so don’t judge me, but I am a big romance(cough cough) reader. And while I want to punch the love interests if they existed, they don’t, so it’s ok. This series has some dark elements(and a lot of plot twists). However it’s captivating, but sometimes it gets a bit repetitive and boring.
Jun: The Invisible life of Addie Larue
Yes, this book is everywhere. But it’s a good book, and trust me I could not leave this book. I was stuck to this book and my bed, for a few hours. It’s just so well written, and while it may get confusing at times, you’ll figure it out soon enough.
Jul: Last Night at the Telegraph Club
I know there are mainly straight romances, but I also read wlw, MLM, and nblw/LM. Sometimes, the books are extremely cliche, which is why I loved this book. It’s such a different spin on most lesbian stories, and I felt like I was there with them. The emotions and story were captured so well. I wish there was a sequel though because I have a few unanswered questions.
Aug: Book Lovers
I was given this book as a gift for my birthday and finally got around to reading it. And let me tell you, that was the best decision I ever made. Because I LOVED this book so much, the characters, the banter, just everything. Romance books like this are usually flat, and the main character, despite being the main character, is poorly written. However, in book lovers, Nora(the mc), is everything. She’s fierce, relatable, and extremely sarcastically funny.
The tension between her and the love interest was well portrayed, and I was giggling like a fool while reading this. If that isn’t enough to persuade you to read this book, I don’t know what will be.
